Clinical Instinct – Calling the Cavalry versus Calling Wolf

April 27 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

April 27th, 2-4 pm: 25-41600, Clinical Instinct-Calling the Cavalry versus Calling Wolf. “Particularly in resource constrained and rural EMS environments, the availability of ALS and LifeFlight support can be limited. Many calls can be competently handled by BLS crews: distinguishing who needs advanced care is a skill that needs to be developed. It is partly data, partly observation and partly gut instinct. The goal is to neither underutilize or overutilize advanced care.

This case-based class will review common calls and help learners identify findings which can lead to the correct decision when deciding whether to call for advanced help.” 2 h Medical. Dr, Marc-David Munk, instructor. Although this class is focused on EMTs, drivers are encouraged to attend.
