Rescue Rescue  



Harpswell Neck Rescue operates an emergency medical service for the Harpswell Neck Community. The Rescue consists of thirty volunteer members, including First Responders, Emergency Medical Technicians and Ambulance Drivers. A variety of volunteer positions are available with the rescue, and HNFR provides free training to all interested and qualified members, including the classes required to become a certified EMT. In 2003, Rescue volunteers logged more than 900 hours of education.





Last year, Harpswell Neck Rescue responded to 131 rescue calls. Emergencies ranged from general illness to serious auto accidents and traumas requiring  patients be be airlifted via Lifeflight of Maine.
